Robert Cornell is an attorney with a background in insurance defense litigation, focusing on construction, trucking, and general liability matters. He has represented insurers and insureds in a wide range of disputes, including personal injury, premises liability, auto liability, and coverage issues. His approach emphasizes early case evaluation, strategic litigation management, and efficient, results-driven advocacy through all phases of a matter.
Mr. Cornell is an Alabama-licensed attorney currently pursuing admission to the State Bar of California. In the interim, he supports litigation matters under the supervision of California-licensed counsel, contributing through legal research, motion practice, discovery, and case analysis. He brings experience in high-volume, detail-intensive environments and is particularly focused on construction defect and trucking litigation within California’s evolving legal landscape.
He maintains a strong interest in real estate and closely follows how development trends and market conditions intersect with construction and property-related disputes.
Mr. Cornell previously served on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. He earned a double major in Accounting and Humanities from Azusa Pacific University and his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law. A San Diego native, he grew up in Encinitas, where he currently resides.
Mr. Cornell is licensed to practice law in Alabama and is not yet admitted to the State Bar of California. He works under the supervision of California-licensed attorneys in accordance with applicable rules.
